During the early days of the pandemic, Emory University’s scientists and researchers played a pivotal role in understanding COVID-19 and its impact. With Emory’s Office of Advancement’s end-of-year fundraising goal looming, Evan oversaw the final segment of creative strategy, production, and media planning of marketing materials, focusing on how the Emory community was providing its expertise and leadership to help people everywhere, including in underserved communities, through the global pandemic.

He and his team of writers, illustrators, animators, and editors created this short animation to reinvigorate Emory alumni — and inspire them to give — by reminding them they deserve to be proud of their alma mater’s leadership during this unprecedented worldwide crisis.

Evan directed this animation entirely in lockdown. He collaborated with his team completely virtually, from brainstorming the concept, developing the art style, to directing the VO artist’s narration.
