For their Centennial, The PGA of America needed to show appreciation to PGA Professionals everywhere, but also tell compelling, universal stories based around the hashtag #ThxPGAPro. Evan's tagline, "The best stories end in thanks" accomplished both. The Centennial Campaign, which Evan led as Director of Creative & Production, included a series of on-air ads, as well as print, digital, and B2B campaigns.
In one of the most memorable days of his career, Evan directed legendary voice over talent Morgan Freeman for a spot commemorating the life of Arnold Palmer, and thanking him on behalf of all 28,000 members of the PGA of America.
Before the Centennial Campaign even began, The PGA of America and Ideas United partnered for a PSA about the amazing story of professional golfer Charlie Sifford. Written by Evan, it won a gold at the Summit International Awards, and was nominated for an Atlanta Marketer of the Year Award.
Most recently, Evan worked with the PGA of America and the United States Olympic Committee to create a short documentary about how the American Development Model, a new way of approaching childhood sports, could help reduce the staggering rate of childhood obesity in America and create a nation of athletes. Starring Jack Nicklaus and Annika Sörenstam, Evan's film was used to encourage the national governing bodies of Golf to adopt the principles of the ADM.
Produced by Ideas United.
